Tribune filed a $1 billion lawsuit against Sinclair Broadcast Group for allegedly derailing a merger that would have created the biggest local broadcaster in the U.S. The move follows last month's decision by the FCC to refer the proposed tie-up to an administrative law judge, after Sinclair “misled” regulators, according to Tribune — which earlier this week called off the $3.9 billion deal.

Interestingly, in 2015, there was a national surplus of data scientists; yet as more industries rely on big data to make decisions, data science has become increasingly important across all industries.
