Teva Pharmaceuticals won regulatory approval from the FDA for the first generic competitor to Mylan’s EpiPen. Mylan’s emergency allergy drug's price infamously rose more than 400% over 10 years until 2016, prompting the pharmaceutical company to introduce an authorized generic at half the price. Competitors are expected to further undersell the branded version, though the design of the delivery device has proved an obstacle for imitators.
Supermarket giant Kroger and autonomous vehicle startup Nuro are teaming up to test driverless grocery delivery in Arizona. The SEC subpoenaed one of Tesla’s parts suppliers last year over claims the electric car maker misled investors about its Model 3 production problems, reports The Wall Street Journal. Regulators have also served Tesla's board with a subpoena following tweets by CEO Elon Musk about taking the company private. Members had earlier urged Musk to end his tweets, which included assertions about privatization funding that have since been challenged.
Also: A second whistleblower has emerged at Tesla, with a former security worker alleging the company spied on employees and failed to disclose a $37 million materials theft, as well as possible drug trafficking at its California Gigafactory. The first employee to come forward alleged Tesla engaged in flawed manufacturing practices.
